Is this for real?

Yes.

Is it actually a marathon?

No. The total distance is about 2.18 miles (3.5 km) from Backyard Tavern to Topsail Brewing. The median distance between each waypoint is about a 1/2 mile (800 meters). It's not even really a real race. The goal is to have fun and not die.

Ok, so what are we doing exactly?

Run, jog, or otherwise ambulate from one establishment to the next, stopping only long enough to have a drink of your choice before proceeding.

Are there any other rules?

Try not to get hit by a car. I picked places all on the same side of NC-210 to avoid needing to cross it.

Kids?

No kids on this race. We can have kids and non-runners wait at Topsail Brewing.

How much does this cost?

Race is free, drinks at each place are at your expense. The only other expense is your pride and dignity.

There's a theme!?

To honor Sneads Ferry and greater Eastern North Carolina's history, the costume theme this year will be pirates. Dress up, you scallywags!
